GGAR does pay in cash!

We also offer Zelle payment for unattended pick up, or if you just don’t like to handle cash. We can pay by check upon request as we understand some seller’s need the tracking for accounting. We are proud to say we have never in over 15 years of business had an unresolved payment issue.

Can I sell my car without a title?

Yes, you can sell your car without a title! While having one can get you more cash, our team is well-versed in DMV paperwork and can guide you through the process. Contact us to discuss your situation—you might not even need to visit the DMV!

Are there any restrictions to your “No Title, No Problem” offer?

Accepted Answer

Yes, there are restrictions. We'll review your DMV paperwork to see if we can purchase your vehicle without a title. You may need a valid CA registration card, renewal notice, Junk Receipt, or VIR in your name, free of liens. In some cases, we can buy without DMV paperwork if you're the registered owner with no liens.

When can my car be picked up after I accept an offer?

We offer pick-up appointments Monday through Friday. Often, we can pick up your vehicle the same day you accept our offer. If you accept later in the day, your pick-up will be scheduled for the next business day. Contact us to discuss your specific needs.

Question 5

Does GGAR have a vehicle drop off location?

Accepted Answer

Yes, we operate a locate tow yard where you can bring in and sell us your car.

We understand you may not be able to wait for one of our pick up appointments. You can drop off your car for cash Monday through Friday by appointment only. Call our office for details.

Does GGAR submit the release of liability to DMV?

Accepted Answer

The release of liability should always be submitted to DMV by the seller and the buyer.

Our drivers will provide to you the “new owner” information at the time of pick up of your vehicle. This way you can submit the release of liability to DMV and your insurance company.

Will I receive a “receipt” for the sale of my vehicle?

Accepted Answer

The release of liability is your receipt/proof of sale of your vehicle, however our driver’s all carry DMV bill of sale forms. We can provide you a bill of sale as an additional “proof of sale” document upon request.

Question 8

Do I have to take off my licenses plates before I sell my car to GGAR?

Accepted Answer

California only requires you to keep or “turn in” your license plates if they are a vanity (custom) plate or disabled plate, which are linked to your name, not the vehicle. 
If the license plate is standard issued it can stay with the vehicle as it is linked to the car, not to you individually.

Can I sell a vehicle someone left on my property?

You legally can not sell a vehicle someone left or abandoned on your property without a signed over title.

Don’t worry, GGAR can provide a free private property removal of this vehicle. We take care of contacting DMV and the legal owner to inform them we are in possession of their vehicle. No cost to the property owner. (some restrictions apply).

Do you buy all vehicles, regardless of their condition

Accepted Answer

Having a complete vehicle with all major parts intact and a valid title will get you the most cash from GGAR.

We can purchase vehicles in many different types of dismay. Many times it will be a lower offer, free removal, or less likely we may have to charge a small fee to remove the vehicle from your property.

Do you purchase recreational vehicles like boats or motorcycles?

Accepted Answer

No, we don't purchase recreational or commercial vehicles as they require special towing and recycling. Our expertise is in personal vehicles. However, we can refer you to industry partners who specialize in these types of vehicles.

Does GGAR sell parts or have a public salvage yard?

Accepted Answer

Unfortunately no. We purchase vehicles and work with local dismantlers. We do not resell parts.
